HRM-Dash Board
HRM-Dash Board, or the risk management dashboard for hotels, restaurants, and spas, is a consulting approach aimed at eliminating or mitigating risks in managing these types of businesses. HRM-Dash Board was created with the aim of becoming the “partner” or companion to various players either already present in or seeking to enter the hospitality sector, based on our extensive experience in the industry. This experience has allowed us to theorize on numerous business problems and risks, always through the lens of the many experiences we’ve lived in the industry.

Identifying risks, and analyzing them, has become the first task for any new business idea or start-up looking to enter the hospitality sector, as well as for any established business aiming to reposition itself in the market or simply reinforce the positive impact of its business decisions.
Risk identification and analysis for each business unit is not only suitable for current operators or competitors in the sector, but it is also a crucial requirement for new players aspiring to enter the hospitality sector. This includes investment funds or banking entities needing a realistic and more in-depth analytical assessment of each investment project in the hospitality industry that they are considering.

A passionate hospitality professional with over 30 years of executive experience.

Javier Vazquez-Illa
My background encompasses various aspects of hotel operations, including hotel, spa, and restaurant management, competitive strategies, marketing, finance, human resources, business concept development, and expansion.
My most notable achievements are related to the repositioning of struggling hotel companies.
My experience combines the development of personal business projects with roles for third parties, having served on the boards of directors of several ownership companies.
I also have extensive experience in creating content and teaching training courses, both in-person and online, across various areas of the hospitality, spa, and restaurant sectors, in both Spanish and English. I regularly work as a professor at hotel schools, teaching various courses such as Financial Management & Performance Control, Human Resource Management, Quality Management, Digital Law, Labor Law, Strategic Management, Business English, and Risk Management in international Hospitality Management programs.
Qualifications:
• Doctorate in Business Administration from the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
• Master’s in “Hotel Administration” from Cornell University Hotel School, New York.
• Bachelor’s in Political Science and Sociology from the Complutense University of Madrid.
